Dylan Ferrandis Set to Return from Thumb Injury at Detroit Supercross

It has been a tough first year in Monster Energy AMA Supercross for the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing Team.

Justin Barcia has been out since the first lap of the season after his scary crash with Malcolm Stewart at the Anaheim 1 season opener.

Meanwhile, the teams sole rider, Dylan Ferrandis, was a consistent top-10 performer, but has been out since Daytona when he sustained a thumb injury in a heat race crash when he went down and was ran into by another rider.

Good news for the TLD squad, though, was announced on Tuesday. Ferrandis posted that he will return for round 11 of the championship this Saturday in Detroit.

He posted a simple message accompanied with a riding video:

“Back at it today finally! Let’s do a 1 week bootcamp and race Detroit this weekend 🔥.”

Despite missing the last few rounds, Ferrandis is still 12th in 450SX points heading into the weekend.
