After spending much of the 2025 season rehabbing and working his way back from a torn Achilles sustained prior to the season, Triumph Factory Racing’s Jalek Swoll is unfortunately now dealing with the same injury, this time on his right side. It should be noted: he injured his left Achilles in 2025.
Entering Birmingham, Swoll was coming off a season-high 8th in Indianapolis, and was third in the first East Division qualifying session before sustaining the injury.
After the race, Swoll posted the following on social media:
“Felt like I was finally back to form was comfy all day, was p3 in qualifying and hit a weird pocket in the rhythm that did some damage unfortunately…… not gonna lie shit sucks there’s no other way to put it, so much time and investment is put in to compete at this level and set back after set back has definitely tested me mentally but at the end of the day as it’s contract year for me if that was my last race day as a racer I’m absolutely proud of the accomplishments along the way and what I’ve achieved them through 🤝 big thanks to @officialtriumphracing”
Triumph confirmed on Wednesday that Swoll did sustain an Achilles injury and Swoll posted on his Instagram story he is “having surgery tomorrow on my Achilles, not the same one I dealt with prior but now the other one. I appreciate everyone that reached out, I just need a few days to process before I started getting back to everyone.”
In the same post, the team announced that Austin Forkner has undergone surgery on his hand and will miss the remainder of his 450SX rookie season to focus on his return to the 250 Class in Pro Motocross.
