Daniel Blair Stepping Away From Monster Energy Supercross Broadcast

One of the best in the broadcasting business is hanging up his mic. Daniel Blair, a long-time fixture on Race Day Live and the broadcast coverage of Monster Energy Supercross, announced he is stepping away to focus on other opportunities.

He released the following on social media:

“An unbelievable chapter comes to an end today as I’ve decided to make a pivot in life and step away from my positions and roles with Supercross and TV. I’m very grateful for the life this job gave me, with 9 years of incredible moments and memories. The decision was tough but ultimately I have some opportunities that will allow me to give back to the sport in new and different ways. I’m sad to step aside but excited at what’s next. To everyone at Feld…..thank you for giving me the chance to share my love for this sport. You are, and always will be, my family. To the fans…..thank you all so much for your support. You were always the fuel that kept me going. To the sport…..I’m not going anywhere. I’ll continue to give my whole heart towards the opportunities I have now, and the ones coming in the future.

Thank you,

DB”

Blair recently took over team manager role of the KTM Orange Brigade amateur team and also has some stuff in the works with the NXL LVL 101 track, owned by Eddie Ray and Jessica Patterson, which hosts the Vurb Classic.

I think I speak for everyone: gonna suck to not see DB next year.

  1. DB is literally one of my favorite hosts of the supercross show…not Only is he a Northern California OG (Bounty Hunter, Oatfield , club moto ,e street)but I have raced alongside him and watched him and his brother for years as an amateur…this is definitely bittersweet as I want what is best for him but also what is best for me, which is host the show LoL….. Braaaaahhpp

  2. Bummer for fans for sure. It’s always been a highlight to listen to anything that he has to say on broadcast. I thought he was great in the booth, as well as in the trenches. We obviously haven’t seen the last on him. Good luck Daniel!

  3. So sad to see you go DB but so very happy for you too. I had really been hoping that you were going to spend more time in the booth. You’re an awesome commentator in the booth and in the trenches. KTM is lucky to have you. Good luck and God Bless.

  4. GIVE LANGSTON HIS DUE!!!
One of the best commentors and forced out for all corrupt reasons..
Langston, Stewart, and Emig…imho..the 3 best that have ever graced a microphone for this sport!

  5. When Daniel in Ricky were in the booth it was magical, they flowed naturally each other’s commentary..and his cameo rider interviews are the best..definitely be missed..however happy for him with his next path
