Coty Schock Out of Remainder of Monster Energy Supercross

Phoenix Honda Racing’s Coty Schock announced on Instagram that his injuries sustained in a crash at Arlington’s Triple Crown race in the second 250SX main event are worse than initial thought.

Schock announced that in addition to a bruised lung and a hematoma on his right shoulder, he also sustained a torn ACL and MCL.

“My crash from Arlington was worse than I thought. At the time we thought I just collapsed my lung and serious bruising everywhere else. I later had my knee checked out and ended up tearing my ACL and MCL😔

At this time I want to apologize to @phxracinghonda and everyone that supports me for not delivering this year. I feel I’ve failed and for that I’m sorry. I’m down but not out. As my dad always said “pain is temporary, end result is forever”.

Much love.. I’ll be back”

A return to racing is unknown at this time.
