Colt Nichols Injury Update

Monster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha’s Colt Nichols sustained a hand injury in his heat race crash with Chase Sexton in the 250SX East Region main event at the final round of Monster Energy Supercross on Sunday, according to a Yamaha press release.

Nichols said he is going to get his hand “checked out” (duh) and hopes to be “all good.”

The incident, which the Internet has yet to determine who was at fault, is still being investigated by the Vital Message Board.

Below is a quote from the Yamaha PR:

The day was going well and then I got together with Chase [Sexton] in the heat race. I just misjudged how close he actually was to me and he was already committed to what he was doing. He ended up landing on my hand and got me a little beat up. I’m going to get it checked out and hopefully will be all good.”
