Belgium Names 2021 Motocross of Nations Team

As we inch closer to the 2021 Motocross of Nations in Mantova, Italy, on September 25-26, team announcements have started to roll in.

Over the weekend, Belgium announced a squad of Jeremy Van Horebeek (MXGP), Liam Everts (MX2) and Brent Van Doninck (Open).

Van Horebeek and Van Doninck were the obvious choices for the 450s, but Everts is certainly a surprise. Jago Geerts, who is currently third in points in MX2, has elected to skip the event to focus on the FIM Motocross World Championship title chase.

As previously noted, the event takes place on the weekend between rounds ten and eleven of the championship.

Van Horebeek and Van Doninck are currently 13th and 17th in MXGP points. Everts, son of the legendary Stefan Everts, is currently fourth in points in the EMX250 class.

Team USA is expected to announce its team this weekend at the Budds Creek National.
