I golf. It’s what I do. Something about 18 holes with the boys on a Saturday, claws in hand, music blaring, the crisp sounds of a 300-yard dinger that gets the feels going.
People always talk about the cross-over between mountain biking and motocross. And yeah, it’s there, but I always felt that was more for training purposes rather than pure enjoyment. Fun, yes. Workout, also yes.
Golf, on the other hand, is pure bliss. Doing it for the love of the game. A place to let your mind reset. And the entire motocross community plays! Look at any of the top riders Instabangers and golf is there—every day. Hell, Weege was telling a story about Jett and Stew talking golf before the first moto at Fox Raceway. That is love.
I have some ideas about how golf and motocross can join forces, but for now I want to talk about AC’s recent appearance on Golf Today. 1) It was great. Bang up job, Mister AC. 2) He hits the nail on the head of why so many of us love golf. And 3) I want the smoke. ALL OF IT. SLAW V AC mono e mono at whichever course AC is willing to pay for us to play. It will be much nicer if AC is paying. We’ll probably pay Pebble or something cool.
