After two seasons with Team Green Kawasaki, Gavin Towers announced recently he would not be returning to the team.
“As some people may or may not know yesterday marked my 2 years with @racekawasaki it was a great couple years with such a amazing team! I can’t thank @ryanholliday enough for giving me the opportunity and being the first team to reach out to me. Along with @chappyteamgreen for getting the bikes to the races and always loading the truck with snacks😂 @jonprimo for helping me out the last couple races @mtesta961 @mohead25 for keeping the bikes going for this year and everyone else. Thanks for a great couple years going to miss you guys❤️ Stay tuned for what’s next.”
Well, now we know where Towers has landed. He announced yesterday that he has signed with the Yamaha Factory Amateur Team.
The Pennsylvania native spent most of his amateur career racing KTMs before joining Team Green. He finished second overall in Supermini 1 at Loretta Lynn’s in 2020 and fourth overall in Supermini 2.
This past year at Loretta’s, Towers moved up to 250 B and took second overall behind Nick Romano with 3-3-2 motos. He finished fourth overall in Schoolboy 2.
