Where Will Jason Anderson Land in 2026?

Late last week, Monster Energy Kawasaki announced that Jason Anderson would miss the rest of the Pro Motocross season in addition to the SuperMotocross Playoffs later this year as he continues to deal with health issues.

The announcement also likely brings an end to Anderson’s tenure with the team, as Chase Sexton is expected to sign with Kawasaki this off-season and be paired alongside Jorge Prado.

While Anderson and Kawasaki weren’t able to deliver titles, I think both sides would deem their tenure successful. Anderson joined the team prior to the start of the 2022 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season and finished his inaugural year with the squad second in points. During his time there, he won seven times in Supercross and twice in Pro Motocross (his only two career wins outdoors).

While no one wanted it to this way, Anderson is still looking to continue his career as he eluded to in a Instagram post last week:

“Super bummed on the year. I have been having a hard time on the physical side. Not being able to push after lap 2 every weekend is frustrating. Anytime I want to try and train more I keep getting sick and going backwards with my fitness. Not being able to be the best me right now is super tough physically and mentally but shit will buff and i’ll be all good soon.

“Also just wanted to say thanks to my team @monsterenergy@racekawasaki for being really cool to me and still giving their best effort even though I couldn’t give them mine.

“Right now im going to relax and get my body healthy for more racing in the future. On a positive side im excited to enjoy time with my family who always take a backseat to my career. Hope to be back out there soon!”

What Are Anderson’s Options?

While I don’t have much insider knowledge in the Anderson camp, here are a few options for JA next year and beyond…

HEP Suzuki: Roczen is likely back, but they will need a second rider. While the Suzuki isn’t the top of the class, Kenny has made it work, so why not JA?

ClubMX Yamaha: The perfect marriage to me. Club is on the rise and JA would love working with DB and the crew down in SC.

Factory Triumph: Hearing this won’t happen, but you never know and Anderson would be perfect for the move to the 450 Class with the squad.

Factory Ducati: The Italian brand is coming in 2026, but reports are that they have already decided on Justin Barcia and Dylan Ferrandis.

Quad Lock Honda: Joey Savatgy and Shane McElrath — and Dean Wilson before them — have found success with the Australian-based team, but do they have room? If so, would be a good place for Anderson to land.

Any of the above would be a good fit, but where will Anderson land in 2026? It’s one of the biggest question marks as Silly Season continues to roll along.
