Maybe it is recency bias or maybe this actually was one of the best Motocross of Nations in history. I don’t know. What I do know is: the racing, the stars (both from the AMA and MXGP), the track… everything was amazing.
Consider this: heading into the third and final race, five countries were separated by just 11 points. Correct me if I’m wrong (looking at you Fowler Facts) but I don’t ever recall it being that close.
While Australia would shut the door and claim their first-ever win at the event, the battle for the win between two titans of the sport — Jett Lawrence and Tim Gajser — was one of the best I’ve ever seen.
If for some reason you haven’t seen this (which you probably have) MXGP put out the full video. Go rewatch it a hundred or so times, because these race will go down in the history books.
