Buckle up, buckaroos! The 2022 Vurb Shred Tour heads to California this weekend for the second stop at KCRP MX in Bakersfield.
Last year we started the vurbmoto Dirtbikes are Dope Shred Tour (which is way too much to write, so we’re just running Vurb Shred Tour this year, okay?) which, at its core, was a way for us to come and have an amazingly fun time at tracks close to you, give away thousands of dollars in prizes, cook hotdogs, watch supercross, have bonfires, and shred some of the best dirt we could find in the region. And it was fun! So much fun we’re doing it again!
Our title sponsor, Mad Skills Motocross 3, is going to throw a brand new YZ125 in the ring this year and if you attend ANY day you can sign up for a chance to win a brand-new smoker.
Same as last year, EVERY GATE ENTRY WILL RECEIVE A SWAG BAG FULL OF GOODIES, RAFFLE TICKETS, ETC. We will also have a raffle drawing on Saturday and Sunday with even more prizes. ALSO, MotoSport.com is bringing the heat and PAYING for your gate entry with a $20 gift card. ALSO, ALSO: For the first time in Shred Tour history (yeah, it’s not that long) we will be RACING. USMCA Trainer: Martin Castelo
Bio: Originally fro Ecuador, Martin has been racing AMA Supercross for the last six seasons, earning a handful of top 10 finishes and a 6th place at San Diego SX in the 250 class. Martin shares a passion for coaching and helping riders reach their goals.
This class is geared towards beginner and novice riders. Things you can learn include:
– Controls, engine start and stop. Moving the motorcycle
– Traction, acceleration, braking and shifting
-Turning flat, banked and off camber
– Riding posture: lower body control, counterbalancing
– Riding over obstacles
