Round 1 of AMA Pro Motocross was held this past weekend in Pala. And while there were a TON of great quotes during the press conference and such, we went deeper. And got things riders 100000000 PERCENT DID NOT SAY.

Without further ado, these are things that definitely WERE NOT said by the riders or personnel after the 1st round of the 2023 AMA Pro Motocross Championship, but we all know they were thinking it.

TV Director: “We’ve had enough of the Jett-Sexton battle, lets focus on some of the other guys.”

Tom Vialle: “One of the best things about moving to race in America, is dealing with all the lappers.”

Haiden Deegan: “Still flying under the radar, just the way I like it.”

RJ Hampshire: “I was totally confident that 11th in the second moto would get me on the podium. Happens all the time.”

Cameraman: “I’m not sure why I’m shooting these 450 dudes getting on their bikes under the awning while the 250 race is on. I mean, it’s not like they’d show this footage when a race is taking place…. Right?”

Cooper Webb: “I’m having so much fun being out there. I’m so glad I got the all-clear to race all these nationals. It’s a blast!”

Jett Lawrence: “I was a bit disappointed that they started the season at Pala. I really wanted a track that I wasn’t good at to lead us off, just so I wouldn’t get any momentum.”

Chase Sexton: “It may have seemed like I enjoyed coming second, but I really didn’t. Not in the slightest.”

Jose Butron: “I was fully confident I’d get the best 450 result of my career in my first ever AMA National.”
