Tiger Wood Signs With GDR Honda

Here’s a bit of unexpected silly season news North of the border in Canada. The GDR Honda team has announced that they have signed Tiger Wood to race the Canadian Triple Crown series in the MX2 class.

The Australian, who’s real name is actually Thomas Wood has spent the last seven years in the United States. He’s been a top Supermini and Schoolboy rider the past couple of seasons. All has been quiet in his camp since the first of the year. Wood has been riding under the Austrian’s amateur “Brigade” umbrella as a premier GASGAS athlete. We assumed that would continue to the pro ranks, so this news is kind of a surprise.

Our Brad Gebhardt caught up with Tiger in mid-February and spoke about this new opportunity.

Wood will make his debut with the team on June 2nd in Calgary.
