Slawdictions for Anaheim 3: Lawrence Podium Streak Continues

Following a nearly 88 percent pick rate over the first five rounds, I’m here to bring you the most flame, fire, fuego, feu, Пожар predictions for the sixth round of Monster Energy Supercross in Anaheim.

NONE of this would be possible without the folks at FLY Racing, who have stepped in to support Slaw and #slawnation couldn’t be happier. Visit www.flyracing.com and support those who support Slaw.

As always, we will first review my predictions from the last round in Glendale…

Prediction | Mumfy Gets Another Top 10

After a rocky rookie season in Monster Energy Supercross last year, Carson Mumford has been steady in 2022. He’s collected back-to-back top 10s and I think that continues this weekend.

Just gonna leave this here….

Slawdiction: 0 out of 10.

Prediction | Surprise 450 Podium in ONE of the Triple Crown Races

Oh, yeah, we got the Triple Crowns back, baby! Seriously, I love the Triple Crowns. Three races that ACTUALLY MEAN SOMETHING. I think in the 450 Class we see a surprise rider score a top three finish in ONE of the three races.

Is Mookie a surprise? Yes and no? I’m going with YES because it’s my column and I make the rules.

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Prediction | A Fifth Different Winner to Start the Season

For the second straight year, we’ve seen four different winners in four races in the 450 Class to start the season. Parity has been king thus far and I look for it to continue this weekend as we see a FIFTH different winner! Who will it be? That I don’t know.

Tomac killed this one. Thanks, Eli!

Slawdiction: 0 out of 10.

Prediction | Craig Wins Again

Yeah, yeah. Not exactly a bold prediction. I get it. But whatever. Craig wins and extends his championship lead even further.

Just gonna leave this here…

Slawdiction: 0 out of 10.

Prediction | Roczen Rebounds

Yep, going right back to this one. Has to happen at some point, right?

After going 13-7-13 the previous rounds, FIFTH overall is a rebound. I’m counting it.

Slawdiction: 9 out of 10.

On to another race in Anaheim…

We Need to Talk About Derek Kelly

To me, Derek Kelly has not been getting his due this year. Over the last three rounds he’s gone 12-10-11. Pretty damn solid if you ask Slaw. I think Kelly continues his strong start to the season with a second top 10.

AP Finds His Form

It’s been a rough few rounds for AP since his podium in Oakland. That stops this weekend, as AP scores AT LEAST a top five.

Hunter Continues Podium Streak

Hunter Lawrence has been the model of consistency in the 250SX West Region, scoring a podium finish at all five rounds. Following his win last weekend, he’s only eighth points back of Craig in the championship. A win would go a long way this weekend. Will it happen? Not sure. What will happen is another podium. LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK.

Feeling Sexy

I don’t know, something in my bun just tells me Chase Sexton is going to come out firing this weekend and get his second win of the season. Sometimes you just gotta trust your bun.

Chiz Will Chiz

We all know what this means. And yes, it will happen for a 500th consecutive time this weekend.
