Loretta’s season is here! Regionals are complete, families are packing up and beginning their trek to the Ranch, and riders are starting to get that familiar feeling in their stomach. With the race days out, I’m here to break down the top 15 riders in the Vurbmoto National Rankings heading into the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship.

Keep in mind: these aren’t predictions, they’re a data-driven snapshot of who has performed best heading into amateur motocross’ biggest week.

10: Cade Swartfager
One rider to watch in Micro 3 and 65cc 7-9 will be Swartfager. He won the Northeast Regional in both classes and heads to the Ranch with a career that has produced 1,244 races, 1,108 top-10 finishes, and 349 podiums. Even more impressive is what he’s done once he gets to the front. Swartfager has led 1,916 career laps, accounting for an incredible 40.1% of every lap he’s completed. His ability to get out front early is reflected in his 3.99 average first-lap position, making him one of the best starters in his class.
9: Jax Baker
Coming off first overall finishes at the South Central Regional in the 65cc 10-11 division, keep an eye on Baker entering Loretta’s. Baker continues to prove he’s one of the most consistent young racers in the country. Over 1,132 career races, he’s recorded 962 top-10 finishes and 370 podiums, while spending plenty of time at the front. Baker has led 991 career laps, accounting for 35.1% of every lap he’s raced, and boasts an impressive 3.9 average first-lap position.
8: Robert Fender
Like Swartfager, Fender “the Sender” will also compete in Micro 3 and 65cc 7-9. He captured the win in Micro 3 at the Northeast Regional and finished fourth in 65cc 7-9. Across 629 races, he has recorded 533 top-10 finishes and 148 podiums, while leading 310 career laps—an impressive 24.4% of every lap he’s raced. Those numbers reflect a rider who consistently puts himself near the front and knows how to stay there.
7: Rivers Rice
Another rider to watch in Micro 3 and 65cc 7-9 is Rivers Rice. He finished 4th (Micro 3) and 6th (65cc 7-9) at the Mid-East Regional to make it to the Ranch. Across 926 career races, Rice has recorded 818 top-10 finishes and 237 podiums, averaging 4.86 overall and 4.31 per moto. He’s also proven he can race at the front, leading 801 career laps, which accounts for 23.8% of every lap he’s completed, while carrying a strong 4.5 average first-lap position.
6: Abshur Hall
The North Carolina native is going to be a rider to watch in the 65cc 10-11 classes. Hall won both his Regionals at Gatorback, topping Carter Holmes (currently the third ranked Prospect rider) and Joao Ferreira Jr. Across 1,852 career races, Hall has recorded 1,668 top-10 finishes and 649 podiums, while averaging 4.19 overall and 3.31 per moto. He’s also spent plenty of time at the front, leading 414 career laps—good for 23.2% of every lap he’s completed. With elite consistency throughout his career and another dominant qualifying campaign in 2026, Hall arrives at Loretta Lynn’s as one of the favorites to keep adding to an already remarkable résumé.
5: Maddox Temmerman
Cousin to 2025 Horizon Award winner, Enzo Temmerman, Maddox is one of the favorites for the Supermini classes. He won both Supermini 1 and 2 at the Mid-East Regional and across 647 career races, he’s recorded 577 top-10 finishes and 325 podiums, while averaging an impressive 3.04 moto finish. His ability to get out front is among the best in amateur motocross, boasting a 2.53 average first-lap position and leading 1,254 career laps—an incredible 49.6% of every lap he’s raced.
