Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing’s Pierce Brown entered the East/West Showdown in Birmingham on Saturday just two points out of the 250SX East Division title chase.
Now, it appears his Supercross season is over.
Brown crashed late in the 250SX East/West Showdown main event and posted on social media Tuesday that he sustained a broken collarbone and dislocated wrist in the crash.
“Disappointed to make this post,” he wrote. “Last Saturday wasn’t my night, dealt with some adversity in the heat and had to pay for it in the main with track position. Ended up catching a rock on the face of a jump and crashing while making a pass resulting in a broken collarbone and dislocated wrist. Right now I’m not quite sure what to expect for recovery time but imma do everything in my power to be back at the races asap. Apologies to the team and all my supporters. We’ve put too much work into it to have it ripped out from under us like this. Head down we’ll be back.”
This will mark the second straight season that injury has cut Brown’s Supercross season short. In 2025, at the East opener, Brown sustained a sustained a broken T5 vertebrae while leading the main event and missed most of the year.
Brown won the East opener this year in Arlington and followed it up with a podium in Daytona and a fifth in Indy before his crash on Saturday.
