Troy Lee Designs/GASGAS’ Pierce Brown was having the ride of his season last night in Philadelphia. Brown had put himself into third in last nights main event and he had points leader Tom Vialle in his sights as he entered the final lap. In order to make up points, Brown had to do everything he could to get around Vialle. He had a charging Haiden Deegan right behind him as well.

Coming around to take the white flag, Brown caught some wheel spin on the takeoff and cross-rutted going up the face of the jump, causing him to eject from his bike in mid air. He would land on the soft spot on the downside of the finish line landing, which was the best case scenario in this situation.

Brown ended up actually getting up from this to finish the race in 14th. The TLD team did not mention any injuries or updates on Brown’s condition after the race. Brown hasn’t either. However, getting back up and finishing is a good sign that he’s okay.

Philadelphia was shaping up to be Brown’s best race of the season with hist first podium in his sights with one lap to go. He was able to move himself up to third in the standings passing the injured Cameron McAdoo, despite not having a podium finish on the season.
