We had some drama unfold at round 16 of the MXGP World Championship from The Netherlands between the Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing team and Tim Gajser.
GasGas put in an official complaint to the FIM, saying the Team HRC’s Tim Gajser should be penalized for track cutting after an off-track excursion during the race.
However, the complaint was rejected and no penalty was handed out.
Do you think GasGas was right to put an official complaint against Gajser for track cutting?
Had the penalty been handed out it would have been a five position penalty, taking seven points from Gajser in the process, who finished third overall in the Netherlands behind Jeffrey Herlings and Jorge Prado.
That’s seven huge points for the two title rivals. It would have taken Gajser’s lead in the standings from nine points down to two points with only four rounds to go.
Either way, this MXGP Championship is heating up between Gajser and Jorge Prado, as well as the teams!
