Most Likely is such a banger that our friends at Michelin have jumped on board! So, go buy some new tires for your entire lineup!

Each week, Slaw, Troy, and sometimes Denny Stephenson, (and sometimes Cade Clason) will come up with some topics and then list the riders most likely to accomplish those feats. Hence the title “Most Likely”. Most would call us beautiful minds.

Who is most likely to win the SX1 class in Canada?

Slaw: Ummm… Eli Tomac. Giving him a slight edge over Roczen.

Troy Dog: I’ve got Eli Tomac because of his recent performances. Ken Roczen will be close, but he won’t have enough for ET. Both of these guys have come back from injuries, but Tomac seems to have more preparation.

Who is most likely to win the SX2 class in Canada?

Slaw: Shane McElrath is my fav unless Cole Thompson takes him out.

Troy Dog: I think my buddy Shane McElrath has the edge over any of these other guys in the class.

Who is most likely to take more riders out, Cole Thompson or Vince Friese?

Slaw: Both

Troy Dog: Friese has got this ALL DAY LONG!

Is Shane McElrath most likely to win on his 87th team in three years?

Slaw: See above.

Troy Dog: Yep, like I said above. He’s the most accomplished and best rider in the class. If he doesn’t win I’ll be weirded out.

Which rider that you don’t know much about is most likely to do the best?

Slaw: Boris Maillard. 1) He has an all-time name and 2) I’ve seen him pop up on some Euro SX results and he’s been pretty decent.

Troy Dog: Julien Lebeau is rocking #259, so he’s going to harness the power of Stew to probably win.

Which SX1 rider is most likely to stand on the podium next to Eli Tomac and Ken Roczen?

Slaw: Gonna go with Jo Dog. Two-time runner-up to Roczen in the series and seems to be in a good spot on a good team.

Troy Dog: Unpopular opinion here probably, but Dean Wilson will be third. I think he has the upper hand on Savatgy.

What would you most likely change to help grow WSX?

Slaw: A lot. I do like that they tried to change the format this year, but four rounds doesn’t have me that interested.

Troy Dog: WSX needs more rounds. These four races aren’t doing anything for me and in order to be a true ‘World’ Championship, we need more than three stops around the globe.

Is WSX most likely to have more rounds in 2025?

Slaw: See above. They need to have at least 8, IMO.

Troy Dog: No, I don’t see it happening. These guys are working hard to build the series, but at the same time they’ve had too many changes in ownership to make a mark in the sport.
