Is the 450SX title chase most likely down to two riders?

A few weeks ago, I was posed with this very same question and hand up, I foolishly wrote that it was not. I was wrong. So, please, loyal followers, forgive me for such a bad take. My usual take rate is 95% and this was NOT IT.

If you couldn’t tell from the above, yes, it is now a two-rider title fight. Hunter vs Eli. Youth vs experience.

Through 10 rounds, Tomac trails Hunter by nine points and while it may seem Hunter is pulling away from this championship… not so fast my friend. Eli is VERY much in this and a win in Detroit this weekend will go a long way to closing the gap.

Prediction: Tomac wins and cuts the gap.

Which rider is most likely to close the gap on Davies?

A few weeks back, I was ask to pick my East Division title favorite and as noted above, I claim a 95% take rate and I think I nailed this one. I had Cole Davies and he is showing why I had him so high the last few weeks. His whoop speed is insane and, to me, is what will win him this title.

But, that was not the question. The question was, who is most likely to close the gap? And I’m torn. Seth or Jo. Jo or Seth.

Before I make a prediction, since I am not steadfast on either, this will not count against my take rate.

With that said: I’ll take Seth. For now.

Which 250SX East rider is poised for a breakthrough race in Detroit?

This has to–has to–be Nate Thrasher right? He has 5 (!!!!), yes 5, career wins but has yet to show anywhere near that speed this year. No idea what is going on. Maybe he had a pre-season injury that he hasn’t disclosed (very common in this sport), but whatever is eating Nate, he has not been the rider we’ve seen the last few years. I have faith in the Thrashman and have him for a top-5 this weekend to get his year back on track.
