Power Rankings Post-Indy Supercross

For 33 years GUTS Racing has prided themselves on being the innovators in seat technology. If you’re looking for a comfortable and stylish place to park your rear end on your dirt bike then look no further. GUTS carries an extensive product line of seat covers and foam no matter what you ride!

Welcome back to Power Rankings and a special Monday edition post-Indy. There is a lot to talk about, some of which I addressed in my rankings.

Enjoy and fax complaints to Weege.

1: Press Conferences

I often hear people talk about the lack of information gleamed from post-race press conferences. To which, I say, that is a false narrative. Are they mundane and boring sometimes? Sure. But every once in a while you get the heat that Indy brought. Top riders teeing off on certain topics and it reminds you why they are so important.

2: Hunter Lawrence

This guy continues to elevate his racing prowess and while Indy wasn’t perfect, he came through in the clutch in the last main event and claimed a second win and extended his points lead.

3: Cole Davies

Has been my title pick, so I am not jumping on any bandwagon. I stated the damn wagon. He is a problem in the whoops and has speed for days.

4: Jo Shimoda

If you told Jo he would be two points back after three rounds, he would be ecstatic. And yet, that is where he is. Reminder: he broke his neck less than six months ago. Crazy to be racing. Even crazier to be in the title fight.

5: Eli Tomac

Never let this dude retire. He’s so good for the sport and I love when we get the Eli we saw in the post-race press conference. I would NOT want to be a lapper right now. Just death stares from Eli in two weeks.

6: Devin Simonson

The surprise of the series so far. He is 7th in points, just three back of teammate Coty Schock and is coming off a career-high sixth in Indy.

7: Daxton Bennick

Is staying healthy and finally being able to show why he was a hot commodity coming out of the amateur ranks.

8: Cooper Webb

He needed a win in Indy, but he kept his slim title chances alive by holding off Kenny for third.

9: Ken Roczen

See above. Really needed a win in Indy but glad he’s okay after that scary crash with AP.

10: Justin Cooper

In a contract year, that moto (if that what we are calling these???) win in Indy was huge. Has been the best outside of the top 4, IMO.
