More Than a No. 1 Plate: SMX Next Spots Are on the Line at Loretta’s

There’s a little extra on the line in 250 Pro Sport and 250 B this week. The top five eligible finishers from each class at Loretta’s can earn an invitation to the upcoming SMX Next World All-Stars events.

That makes the final motos even more interesting.

In 250 Pro Sport, names like Ryder Malinoski, Carson Wood, Landon Gibson, Jesson Turner and Max Shane have already put themselves toward the front of the conversation after Moto 1. Malinoski currently leads the way with the win, followed by Wood, Gibson, Turner and Shane.

Then there’s 250 B, where consistency has Tanner Dorman won the B title on Friday. Tristan Prueitt has been the fastest man in the class with two moto wins, while Dane Pappas and McKayden Fitch have also worked their way into the mix.

So these final motos aren’t just about deciding who leaves the Ranch with a championship. For the riders fighting around that top-five bubble, a position here or there could also help punch their ticket to SMX Next.
