Lance Vincent Injury Update

Lance Vincent has been a longtime friend of ours here at Vurbmoto and right now he could use all of our help. Vincent had a terrible crash at the Texas Pro Challenge last weekend and is in the hospital fighting through some very serious injuries. Lance’s wife Davi has been putting updates on her Facebook as soon as new information becomes available.

Here is what we know at this time courtesy of the Vincent family:

  • Lance was knocked out for two minutes.
  • He was in a medically induced coma, but is now awake. He was taken off a ventilator on minimal settings.
  • He’s in and out of sedation and is responsive if he hears his name.
  • He has several brain contusions, bleeding mostly in the frontal lobe and some on the right side.
  • He has bruised lungs that are being drained of fluid.
  • He broke several vertebrae in his lower back that will heal without surgery.
  • The doctors will be keeping him in the ICU for at least three more days (as of 10/3) to monitor his swelling and bleeding.

Lance had just returned to racing after ten years away from the sport. He was just on the Squad Pod on our Vurbmoto Podcast Network to discuss why he came back before he raced Loretta Lynn’s a couple months ago.

If you’re in a position to donate to the Vincent family to help with their hospital bills they have a GoFundMe account set up.

We will keep updating this post as soon as we see more information from Davi.
