Jimmy Decotis Is Back, Will Race Southwick National

The Rippa is back!!!!

Jimmy Decotis announced on Instagram he will return to racing this weekend at the Southwick National.

“I can’t believe I’m going to say this. I’m really excited. I’m blessed. And I’m healthy. That’s the biggest part of this whole video. I want to announced I’m coming back to race the Southwick National in the 250 Class for Trail Jesters KTM.”

Decotis, a Massachusetts native, stepped away from professional racing in 2020 due to health concerns brought on by his struggle with Lyme Disease.

Decotis enjoyed a great pro career. After starting as a mostly privateer, he worked his way into a factory ride with JGR and claimed three career podiums in AMA Supercross in the 250 Class.

As mentioned, Decotis has been battling Lyme Disease for years and it forced him to step away from racing.

It’s great to have the Rippa back. You know the Southwick crowd is going to be rooting for the kid this weekend.

Let’s enjoy Jimmy on a two-stroke for his return.
