Jeremy Martin will line up for one more race with Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing. But it won’t be this weekend at Thunder Valley. Instead, Martin will return to racing at round 7 of the Pro Motocross Championship at Spring Creek, the facility which is owned by his parents, on July 12 for his final race with the team.
In a statement released by the team today, Martin said that he will return for his home national later this year to finish out his tenure.
“Unfortunately, after my crash in Moto 1 at Hangtown, I’ve decided to sit out Thunder Valley this coming Saturday so that I can get back to 100% for Millville, which is where I’ve now decided I’d like to finish out my career with the team,” Martin said in a team statement. “A massive thank you to everyone at Star Yamaha for their support and belief in me, and all of the people out there who have been supporting me. It’s been a privilege to ride under the truck, and as a lifelong fan of this sport, I’m excited to continue supporting the Star Yamaha team.”
After stepping away from professional racing for a brief period following the 2024 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, Martin inked a deal with Star for at least the first three rounds of the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship. In his first appearance in Pro Motocross since the 2023 Hangtown Motocross Classic, Martin opened the season with 20-20 motos finishes for 21st overall at Fox Raceway.
In his return to Hangtown, Martin was better, having made his way to 11th in the first 250 moto before crashing after the halfway mark. He was unable to finish the race and did not line up for moto 2.
