Jeremy and Alex Martin Injured at Thunder Valley

Thunder Valley was not kind to the Martin brothers.

In the second qualifying session, Alex Martin went down hard and left the track holding his arm. Yesterday, he confirmed on Instagram that he sustained a fractured the radius and ulna in his right arm. He’s already undergone surgery.

“Gutted to say the least… The team and I made some great progress after the first National and I was excited to see where we would be in @thundervalleymx In the second qualifying practice I landed in some soft dirt on the side of the track and that’s all she wrote! I fractured the radius, and ulna in my right arm, good news is I was able to get surgery yesterday already. We will be back!!”

After winning the first 250 moto, Jeremy Martin went down in the second moto and was unable to return. Jeremy, who entered the season with a shoulder injury and a fracture to his scaphoid in his left wrist, wrote on Instagram that “it’s time got get healthy”.

“Really bummed about my second moto crash yesterday. Hit a soft spot when I landed off a jump and the front end just knifed on me. I’ve been managing a left fractured wrist to the Scaphoid for months and a bum left shoulder. I still felt like I could be competitive to win races and contend for this outdoor championship. Unfortunately stuff happens and it’s time to get healthy!”

We’ll update this post once more is known.
