PLAYOFF TIME! The opening round of the SuperMotocross Playoffs is this Saturday at zMax Dragway in Concord, NC, and we have everything you need below for the opener.
Quick Notes
- As was announced yesterday, Jorge Prado will NOT race any of the Playoff rounds.
- Christian Craig will not race either, as he was granted his release from Star Racing Yamaha and has signed with Quad Lock Honda for the FIM World Supercross Championship.
- This will also mark round 1 of the SMX Next World All-Stars class rounds. The SMX Next program will see single points paid at the first round and double points paid at round two at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis. The 65cc Class and Supermini Class will not race any longer in the Playoffs. Instead, it will be two rounds for SMX Next (A + B riders).
- Early start time! It is a day race, with the main program starting at 3:00 p.m. ET.
Injury News
450 Class
Grant Harlan is back after missing time at the end of Pro Motocross due to a leg injury sustained at RedBud.
Aaron Plessinger is out due to an illness that has sidelined him for much of Pro Motocross.
Joey Savatgy returns for this weekend.
Chase Sexton returns after hurting his shoulder in a crash at Ironman.
Cooper Webb is also back after having minor knee surgery following RedBud.

250 Class
Max Anstie is back for the first time since breaking his leg at Birmingham Supercross.
Julien Beaumer will race after his crash at the final round of Pro Motocross at Budds Creek.
Mikkel Haarup broke his collarbone at Unadilla. He is out for the Playoffs.
Michael Mosiman is out for the Playoffs after suffering a concussion at Unadilla.
