Home Sweet Home: Eli Tomac Set to Return for Denver Supercross

Red Bull KTM’s Eli Tomac will return for his home race this weekend at round 16 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross from Denver, CO.

The Colorado native, who led the points chase at times this season, crashed in qualifying at round 14 in Cleveland and suffered a hip injury which kept him from racing the last two rounds, effectively ending his championship run.

In his first season with Red Bull KTM, Tomac looked revitalized under the Austrian-brand, winning the first two rounds of the season in Anaheim 1 and San Diego.

He won again in Seattle and Daytona and was right in the thick of the championship race before hitting a weird run of results with finishes of 5-6-12 before his crash in Cleveland.

We’ll see if Tomac can get back in podium form this weekend.
