Despite a two appearances on the 450 in the FIM World Supercross Championship, Monster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha’s Haiden Deegan will stick with his original plan for 2026: defend his 250SX West Division title before moving to the 450 Class for Pro Motocross and the SuperMotocross Playoffs.
After clinching the 250SX West Division and 250 Pro Motocross titles, Deegan was initially expected to race the 250 Class in his two wild card appearances in the FIM World Supercross Championship (Argentina and Australia) but made the decision to ride in the SX1 Class.
But after two successful appearances, the decision has been made to race the 250 Class in Monster Energy AMA Supercross in 2026.
Deegan made the announcement on his Instagram page and Racer X’s Jason Weigandt confirmed the decision with Haiden’s dad, Brian.
“That’s a wrap on the 🇦🇺🦘tour, and sadly the 4faddy for a little while,” Haiden wrote. “Time to get back on the 2faddy and get ready for SX💪🏼”
During the off-season Deegan announced a new multi-year deal with Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing and a move to Fox Racing after spending years with THOR.
The 250SX West Division kicks off at the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross opener on Jan 10 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
