Welcome to the Vurb Practice Party, where you will probably find qualifying times at some point and random thoughts from Troy and Slaw and maybe DBO. Hang around, it could fun… or not.
Detroit is going to be another action packed week of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship. It will serve as Round 5 of the series, but it will be the opening round to the 250SX Eastern Region.
Here is the entry list for the 250SX class. It’s important to note that no one on this list has ever won a supercross championship. It’s also jam packed with young riders looking to make a name for themselves. This series is going to be very interesting to watch unfold.
Detroit is also going to be a day race, which means a different schedule:

T-Dog Notes:
Detroit has kind of picked up a reputation for being a brutal event with crashes and injuries over the past few seasons. Today Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Yamaha’s Jett Reynolds broke his collarbone, as PulpMX’s Steve Matthes first reported. Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Seth Hammaker also had a bad crash and was shaken up. This round may play out as a “just survive” kind of night.
Pierce Brown surprised me by qualifying first. I truly didn’t see that coming, although his progression points that direction. Pierce has always had the speed to get on the podium and be a potential main event winner. It looks like he had a great offseason and we didn’t hear much from him. Maybe this is the year he can put it all together
Triumphs are here!
