Dean Wilson Dealing with Epstein-Barr Virus

As if the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna 450 team wasn’t having a bad enough Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship already, Dean Wilson announced on Instagram that he’s dealing with the dreaded Epstein-Barr Virus.

Following a 12th overall finish at round 3 of the championship at High Point on Saturday, Wilson revealed he’s been struggling with energy and that blood tests showed the Epstein-Barr Virus.

“I always try to be transparent with you guys as much as I can. I have been struggling with my energy since just before outdoors… I thought it was just a couple rough days from testing & training but my tiredness never went away so I got a full blood panel & unfortunately I was EBV positive Which has been really tough to deal with as I have never felt anything like this before, I feel sleepy/ No energy 24/7 . I’m trying my best to do the right things to get my health back on track.”

Wilson is currently the lone 450 rider under the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna tent as Jason Anderson is currently out after he suffered a broken hand in a practice crash following the opening round at Fox Raceway and defending 450 Pro Motocross Champion Zach Osborne is out for the season due to an ongoing back injury.
