Damn, It’s Good to be Back

Rolling into Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, was the equivalent of hoping into my 1988 Silver Dalorian and hitting 88 mph at just the precise time. I haven’t been to Loretta’s since we were sweating our ass off working for free Volcom shorts and Pants Saggin’ Dezign was a thing (Self made, self paid, bro). But damn, it feels good to be back.

I immediately combed the pits looking for some familiar faces. Where is Xtreme Team Green parked? Are we shooting Red Bull Jams videos this week? Wait, what? Adam Cianciarulo isn’t on a Cobra anymore? Looks like I’ve got some catching up to do.

The coolest thing is not much has changed. The internet still blows, motorhome showers still suck and the beautiful sound of Loretta Lynn’s “Coal Miner’s Daughter” still crackles over the PA system as our morning alarm clock.

Did I mention it was good to be back?

After shot gunning 10 White Claws we decided it a good idea to call it an early night around 1 a.m. Today is practice and I honestly forgot how fast an eight-year-old can go on a motorcycle. We’ve somehow managed to scrape together enough ad dollars to bring in a legit crew of creatives this week thanks to Scott, ARMA, Fox and Race Tech, so screw your day job and put your reading glasses on as we prepare to shotgun more White Claws and bring you the dopest race coverage from the best race on the planet.

Damn, it’s good to be back.
