Cooper Webb On Finger Gun Salute in Seattle

One thing I LOVE (let me repeat LOVE) about Cooper Webb is he’s not afraid to play mind games. From showing up on the line with a heater or giving the ole finger gun salute, he’s going to try and mess with his rivals.

And why not? Name another sport where athletes DON’T DO THIS?

You can’t? Oh, okay.

Back to Seattle, where Webb pulled out the finger gun salute after taking the heat race win over Chase Sexton.

You can see it below:

Webb was asked about it in the post-race press conference and here is what he had to say:

Coop we haven’t seen the finger gun in a couple of years.
[Laughs] Yeah man it felt good! I haven’t won a heat race all year and Chase is really good in those. It was a cool deal and it was one of those things to maybe get him out of whack and to lose focus….seems like it maybe worked.
