Colt Nichols’ Story of How He Landed a Ride with Star Racing Yamaha is Amazing

Colt Nichols’ journey to the 250SX East Region Championship is honestly pretty incredible. It probably deserves some kind of mini-series or something. Like, dude was literally racing in Costa Rica at one point to make a living.

“Like you said, I’ve been through it. I was just going to Costa Rica to make 500 bucks a weekend to race and kind of keep me afloat during the week,” he said in the post-race press conference after clinching his title at Salt Lake City 2. “It’s been a road, man. That’s for sure. Definitely wasn’t the path that I thought I was going to do, but it was the past that was meant for me. Built a little bit of character on me.”

Colt was recently on the Gypsy Tales podcast and explained how he landed his Star Racing Yamaha ride and honestly, if you don’t like Colt after this, you are probably just a terrible human and deserve no free hot dog at the upcoming Dirtbikes are Dope Shred Tour at Aonia Pass.
