Cole Seely Will Return to Monster Energy Supercross in Seattle

Cole Seely is back in Monster Energy Supercross.

After retiring from full-time racing following the 2019 season, Seely will return to action this weekend in Seattle. He will compete in the 450 Class at round 10 with the SmarTop/Bull Frog Spas MotoConcepts Honda team.

Seely returned to competitive racing in 2022, contesting the FIM World Supercross Championship with the team and finishing 17th overall in SX2 (250 Class). He will also race the WSX series in 2023 with the team.

Seely’s last race in Monster Energy Supercross came on May 4, 2019 where he finished 6th overall in 450SX in Las Vegas. In his last full season with Honda HRC in SX (2019), Seely finished 7th overall in the championship.

He retired from professional racing following the 2019 season.

“These past two years have been very difficult,” he said at the time. “Last year’s injury was severe and very tough on me both mentally and physically. I fought hard to return this season, but it was much more challenging than I anticipated. Now with this recent shoulder injury, it’s just another setback. This decision definitely wasn’t easy, but I think it’s the right choice. I’m grateful for having been given the opportunity to do something I’ve loved since I was a kid and to make it into my career. I’m grateful for the support from my fans and many sponsors throughout the years. I’d especially like to thank Honda, who has been behind me for my entire career, supporting me through the ups and downs. I’m grateful to have been partnered with such a great brand. I’m looking forward to this next chapter and to seeing where the future takes me.”
