Clueless, Houston: Is the Deegan Hype Train Back on Track?

The first round of the East Coast always adds a bit of excitement to proceedings because you get a whole brand new bunch of 250 guys out on the track. Although, as the saying goes, the more things change, the more things stay the same because a dude called Lawrence still checked out and won easily. Thankfully everyone behind him made it interesting and should provide a bit more intrigue than the West. As for the 450s, Tomac did the worst possible thing and got the holeshot. Enough said there.

– If you did a drinking game involving the word “rookie”, I feel sorry for you
– Red flags suck, both for the racing, and the person hurt
– Glad that Ferrandis is OK
– The staggered re-start does look funky-cool though
– So about that SXoN… not sure USA would win the 250 class
– It’s nice that they are actually mentioning the World Motocross Championship
– Is the Deegan hype train back on track?
– Pass for the lead? Nah, lets talk about a non-crash
– Other than Triple Crowns, I think the only time we might see a battle for the 250 lead is the East/West races
– 180-degree sand sections should be mandatory
– As should a looooong whoop section
– Speaking of which, I like the whoop section leaderboard
– Anstie had to be running a 280cc or higher, as it’s the only possible way a Honda will get a holeshot
– Unless you’re Jett Lawrence or Hunter Lawrence, or even Chance Hymas
