Carter Biese Talks About His Recovery From a Brain Injury

The brothers Biese, Jordan and Carter, are names that have been around for a while on the amateur national circuit, but just a few years ago they seemed to fall off everyone’s radar. Little did we know, there was all sorts of trials and tribulations happening: Jordan deciding to step away for a little to pursue other ventures, Carter dealing with the fallout from a bad hit to the head. It’s a rollercoaster story that their father Scott shared with me as we sat at the Vurb booth mid-week at Mini O’s. He dug into the process they went through to get the proper rehab for Carter’s brain injury after seeking out a world-renowned doctor down the road from their Wisconsin home in Minnesota.

I knew I had to sit them down and hear the stories for myself. All I can say is, wow. To see these two brothers running well inside the top 10 in the A and B classes at the biggest races of the year is such a rad story in the making.

We’ll first take a look at Carter’s story. Jordan’s interview will be coming soon.

Thank you to the Biese Family for taking the time out to share their story.

We met Jeff sleeping in a tent down the street from Loretta Lynn's... with his computer. At that point, we knew he would fit in with us. Then, he then drank all the white claw flavors none of us liked, and that's when we knew it was meant to be. Jeff officially became part of the crew.
We're terrible at asking questions, so we're not exactly sure what Jeff does for a living, but he loves petting his cats and dog, growing his beard, and living in a cornfield in Michigan. Jeff also likes to wear cycling glasses while driving his car and using his cameras. We like Jeff.
