Adam Cianciarulo Gives Injury Update Following Orlando 2 Crash

Well, crap, looks like Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo is going to miss some time. How much? We don’t know quite yet.

On Instagram today, AC confirmed that he suffered a broken collarbone in his crash in the whoops at Orlando 2 on Saturday and that he’s going to be off the bike for “a bit”.

“A lot of time and effort goes into each season and it’s extremely frustrating to have a set back like we did this past weekend,” he wrote. “I broke my collarbone and I’m gonna be off the bike for a bit. I’m really pissed off at myself for making that mistake. It’s completely unacceptable. I won’t be discouraged, though. I love what I do and I put my heart and soul into it. I’m going to keep working on the things I need to in order to reach my goals. Simple as that. I appreciate my supporters and I’ll keep you guys updated.”

Cianciarulo entered the season less than 100 percent as he dealt with off-season injuries. Saturday was shaping up to be his best race of the season as he led early before being passed by Cooper Webb. He was in second when he went down hard in the whoops and was unable to finish the race.

We’ll keep you in the loop as we know more.
