Holy smokes doggies, the time has come! Bikes have hit the track and things are becoming very real for these athletes as the 41st Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Championship gets underway. Word from riders early is that the track is a good bit different than years past. This may be due the “old track” being washed down stream and new sediment forming. They did bring in a ton of sand in various parts of the course so it will be cool to see how the track shapes up as go through the week.

Alright, now the moment everyone has been waiting for, A Guide To Pro Sport. That’s right let’s talk about the #nextgen. For most of these kids, it is their last dance here at The Ranch as they move into the pro ranks. This year is as loaded as any other, even with the Star Racing duo of Nick Romano and Matt Leblanc moving up to the pro ranks earlier this summer. This makes the way for a potential breakout ride from one of the sleepers. Will we get a mono-e-mono battle between Ryder Difrancesco and Chance Hymas? Or will Gavin Towers, Talon Hawkins or Gage Linville have something to say about that? Only time will tell.

Reminder: We are not here to say who is going to win or lose. Look at this as more of an informational piece on WHO you should keep an eye out for as the week stretches out. Are we going to miss some names? Of course, but that is what Loretta’s week is all about. Breaking onto the scene in whichever respective class that might be in.

While we may be separating this out into The Hitters and The Sleepers, any one of these cats could walk away with the title. Why do I say that? Because all of them have either won or landed on podium at the last handful of Amateur Nationals.

With the disclaimer noted. Let’s dig in!

No, we didn’t forget about #believethehype as Alessi makes his return to the ranch in Open Pro Sport and 25+. On that note add Top Jimmy Albertson to that list as well. Both are sleepers (maybe light hitters) as the week rolls on. I’m sure we will see that #80(0) ripping holeshots first thing Tuesday morning. Some other notables lining up for Open Pro Sport that will be looking to mix it up are Heath Harrison, Kimble Jett and Steven Mages.

  1. I was going to say cole martinez should be up there.and one other thing it’s funny that you guys make it sound like since Nick and Matt aren’t racing that somebody else can win now…I really don’t think they would be the favorites if they were racing .

We met Jeff sleeping in a tent down the street from Loretta Lynn's... with his computer. At that point, we knew he would fit in with us. Then, he then drank all the white claw flavors none of us liked, and that's when we knew it was meant to be. Jeff officially became part of the crew.
We're terrible at asking questions, so we're not exactly sure what Jeff does for a living, but he loves petting his cats and dog, growing his beard, and living in a cornfield in Michigan. Jeff also likes to wear cycling glasses while driving his car and using his cameras. We like Jeff.
