For the second straight week, the elder statesmen of the 450SX Class dominated the headlines, as Eli Tomac captured back-to-back wins to begin the season and Ken Roczen rode to a podium for the second straight round for the first time since 2019. Only Hunter Lawrence was able to breakthrough the veterans, as he captured his third career 450SX podium.

Other headlines dominated the 250SX Class, of which I’m sure there are 10000 million thought pieces on already, so I’ll reframe for offering another, but Haiden Deegan is now the points leader by one after claiming his 8th career win over Cameron McAdoo and Michael Mosiman.

450 Class Notes

Eli Tomac’s Win…

  • Was the 55th of his 450SX career, which is second all-time only to Jeremy McGrath (72)
  • It was his 111th SMX League win, which combines Supercross, Pro Motocross and SMX Playoffs
  • Tomac now has 104 career 450SX class podiums, which is 7 behind McGrath for 2nd all-time

Hunter Lawrence’s Second…

  • Was his 3rd career 450SX podium
  • And his 68th career SMX League podium which ties him for 31st all-time with Blake Baggett

Ken Roczen’s Third…

  • Was his 78th career 450SX podium, putting him 7th all-time
  • And his 165th career SMX League podium. He is tied for 6th all-time in that category
  • It was the first time Ken has secured back-to-back podium performances since 2019

250SX Class Notes

Haiden Deegan’s Win

  • Was the 8th of 250SX career and 26th career SMX League win
  • Deegan is the 53rd rider in 250SX Class history with 50 SMX League podiums, tying Adam Cianciarulo and Mike Brown for 51st all-time.

Cameron McAdoo’s Second

  • Was his first podium since Tampa in 2025
  • His first podium of 2026 was the 24th of his career tying him for 5th all-time
  • San Diego marked his 54th career 250SX start

Michael Mosiman’s Third

  • Was his 11th career 250SX podium
  • It also marked his 60th career start in 250SX
  • His 3rd was his 25th 250SX top-5 finish which moves him into the top-25 (tied for 24th) all-time
