T-Dog’s Hot Takes, San Diego: Are You Not Entertained?

I’m switching up the format to this column. Hey. I’m the vurbmoto CEO, bro, I can do what I want, when I want. Just yesterday I may or may not have told Slaw Dog that he disrespected my mother on Twitter too much and he has one citation remaining before he gets kicked to the curb. [Slaw Note: I offer NO apologies and will talk about T Dog’s mom as much as I want.]

If we do end up firing him I’m hiring Matthes and in doing so, we will change his dog name to Steve Hound. Matthes will be able to afford a house that’s twice the square footage of the one he lives in now, and I don’t want to hear another word about it. We ball out over here with yachts and stuff. XO Here’s three things that stood out to me watching San Diego.

Are You Not Entertained?

I wasn’t. The track made it difficult for me to be honest. It didn’t race well and everyone was doing the same rhythms. In my opinion, the passing spots were awkward and everything had to be forced. Most of the passes I saw (in between me staring at the back of my eyelids) happened in the corner after the whoops. It came down to who had a better run through the whoops. Jason Anderson and Christian Craig will probably have a different opinion than me because they made passes happen all over. It’s okay, you don’t know how a track is going to race until you race it, or watch it on your couch and armchair quarterback it.

How the West Will be Won

The west will be won by Craig, but I’m worried about him staying healthy. As we saw with Colt Nichols, things can change in the blink of an eye and we still have a lot of races to go. In San Diego he did turn a first turn crash into a podium. All the factory guys are dropping faster than you can say Slaw Dog sucks. I think that this is Craig’s year, but until that title is in his hand, you never know.

The Points Be Tight

Remember that dude from high school that would always talk to you, but only in class, and would always say the weirdest stuff? His favorite word would be “tight”. Everything would be tight. “Hey man, did you see that we didn’t have homework in algebruh yesterday? That’s tight, that’s tight. Well, the 450 class is making my guy really proud right now as the top ten in the standings are separated by 14 points. It’s the tightest the points have been in history of the sport after three rounds. Brah! It won’t stay like this but I hope the top five stay this close until the last round!

That’s all I have from San Diego. The racing wasn’t that exciting, but hopefully that changes at Anaheim 2!
