April 25th is a big deal.
-Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe was first published in London (1719)
-Al Pacino was born (1940)
-Chuck Cooper became the first African American selected in the NBA draft (1950)
-The Hubble Telescope was sent into orbit (1990)
AND
Lana June Starling was born!
The Dog Squad welcomed a new pupper this past week and I can’t even explain how excited I am about it. The Troy Dog Squad’s own Justin and Nicole Starling welcomed their little girl on 04/25/2024 at 6:00 am. Little Lady Lana entered the world bright and early. She was punctual and is already giving girls girl vibes. Nicole, YOU DID THE DANG THING. You’re a legit superhero. To be a woman is to kick nothing but ass. It’s honestly incomprehensible how much we are physically capable of. I will say, writing this gets me in all my feels because there is nothing quite like holding that babe you have felt move in your belly for so long.
Justin and Nic. All of us here at Vurb want to extend our congratulations. It’s not every day we get to see the squad grow in such an amazing way.
And Lana, if/WHEN you decide to Google your dad (which you will) I hope you come across this post. Always know that your parents are pretty amazing. You are insanely loved by them. And your pops is one hell of a dirt bike rider.

*Word of advice to the new parents. Never ask Slaw to babysit. He sucks.
