Chef Levi Kitchen has been branding his entire life around cooking, Chance Hymas is apparently ‘cooked’, but he’s clearly not, and now Haiden Deegan is ‘Just tryna cook out there that’s all I’m tryna do!’

And I’m confused…

Why are there so many riders trying to dive into the culinary arts right now?

Well, let’s break this down. It all boils down to…get this…Deegan and his mind games. The Deeg’s is escalating his trolling techniques as of lately and I can only imagine that he thinks it’s hilarious.

I agree. I think it’s great, it’s harmless fun, no one is getting hurt, and he’s providing entertainment for us media to write about every weekend. In fact, I was saddened to see that Deegan wasn’t in the Unadilla press conference to give me a headline on Monday morning.

Although, I will say that some of these new terms are lost on me and have me feeling old. Even my lovely wife Ginger Dog makes fun of the fact that I don’t know what the ‘cool’ terms are that the kids are using these days. I’m assuming that “cooking” is one of those terms.

I’m also concerned with why Benny Bloss is obsessed with shaving everyone’s head, but that’s an entirely different topic that we may have to cover in the off season.

I’m just assuming that since Levi Kitchen is about to become a Michelin Star chef that Deegan is going off of that. Then we have that now infamous message that was sent to him in that night club ‘Hymas is cooked’. So, now he’s going to take two birds with one stone here and get them both with his cooking techniques. It’s a win-win for Deegan and he has a 70-point lead in the standings. He can clinch the title this weekend at Budds Creek, so why not?

In fact, Levi Kitchen I’m about to send you an invoice for my marketing strategies. It wasn’t until Ironman last year that I saw you wearing a chef hat at a race. Who brought you that? I did. IT WAS ME. Since then you’ve lost that hat, completely ghosted me, and I thought that we were going to go fishing or do a cooking class together. I get that you’ve been busy winning, but don’t forget who helped you change the course of history either. That was a great quality hat too. Sad.

The bottom line is that Deegan is giving guys like Hymas, Kitchen, and Tom Vialle some extra motivation during the week and on race day with his comments and he loves it. Deegan loves when they respond, he loves when fans respond, and he’s trying to make everyone all riled up to benefit himself. He knows how many fans he has at the races, he’s not struggling in that department. So, the ones who aren’t his fans, he wants to make them talk about him as well.

It’s working.

We have three contestants vying to become the best chef in the 250 class. Who determines the winner? I don’t know, but I’m about to call Gordon Ramsey to be the judge of this. Could you imagine him yelling at Deegan, Kitchen, and Hymas? It would be amazing TV.

I’m going to go pop some popcorn and wait for the next episode of 250 Class MasterChef!
