Welcome to the 2023 Slaw/Troy Dog/Ginger Dog Combined 250/450 Top Ten Power Rankings! Slaw, Ginger, and Troy each have created their own list of who they believe carry the most power in the sport. They each have created their own categories and have weighted these people accordingly, whether its speed, following, SX skills, you name it.

Each week these rankings will be updated so that you guys can argue about how wrong they are in the comment section! Feel free to tell us if we’re right/wrong/or completely dumb.

Slaw’s Rankings:

I will bullet point my thoughts so it is easier to read. Troy Dog has a hard time reading, so I’m making it easy for him to see how much better my rankings are.

Ginger’s Rankings

-Wes is seriously so much fun and insanely talented at what he does. He’s one of those guys you get around and instantly you’re in a good mood. He made my weekend. He really is as cool as you think he is.

-I have so much to say about this incredible human. TDog and I got to sit with her at the race and it put things into a different, much needed perspective. You’ll have to read my write up for more on this one.

-Starting to consider Trey TDog #2. Y’all already know I love him. You’ll see it in the vlog.

-Crashed in the main but all I can think about is his heat race. He’s unreal. He rides mad and I live for it.

-My eyes always find ya on the track Jo. I’m happy you’re back.

-You got us home without getting lost at all (I fell asleep so we’re gonna roll with this one). I can’t say that about the way there though.

-They support moto dudes so look them up on IG @poppincandyofficial  A review video is in the works!

-HUNTAAA. That is all.

-Nic is so cool. So is Starling. He took 11th in the main and it was awesome to watch. Well deserved!

-Whoever you are sir, thank you for FINALLY pointing to a random, obscure parking lot saying that may be where the media tent is. We had already walked for 30 minutes and talked to at least 5 workers. Your lack of confidence was inspiring. We did find the tent.

-The beginning of the end of my memory for the evening. Who doesn’t love a good pickle?

Troy’s Rankings

Putting Wes at number one this week was the easiest decision that I’ve had to make this year. Not only was my BFF working his lil’ tail off filming the Hunter Lawrence championship saga, but the guy also took over my vlog, and then the town of Nashville by himself. It was great to hang out with my buddy Wes again and seeing him so happy made my entire life.

Canard was literally down to film any idea that I pitched to him last week and we met up at Nashville to make a vlog. Not only that, but he’s just one of the most genuine humans that I’ve ever met. Thank you for your help Trey!

Hunter Lawrence overcame all odds and adversity to become your 2023 250SX East Region Champion.

Starling has not had the year that he has wanted. He downplayed his knee injury. It was a lot worse than he said it was and I’m not afraid to come clean about that now. He’s been feeling a bit better now and he had a season best 11th in Nashville and moved up to 21st in points. He wants that bonus money and a top ten or two before the season ends. He and his lovely fiance Nicole also hung out with Ginger Dog and I after the race!

I gave Matthes a lot of crap about not having Grant Harlan in his Yamaha LCQ Challenge race. What you don’t know is that I did apologize to him and I have a lot of respect for him. He does a lot to give back to these privateers and the sport as a whole. I’m excited to watch this race. Good job Steve and thank you.

Chris Harlan is “Papa Har Dog” to me, but he’s also one of the coolest gentlemen that you’ll ever meet. From the first day I met him at Ironman two Summers ago to now, he’s treated me like family. I got to chat with him for a while this weekend and I even got to sit with Mama Har Dog a bit during the race!

What a redemption ride for Colt45! He backed up his Anaheim 1 sixth place finish with a fourth in Nashville. Honda was 1 and 4 in the 450 class! After the injuries that he’s had he’s definitely deserving of this ride.

Justin Hill is one tier away from being an elite factory rider in this sport again. His comeback has been very successful. A year off from this sport is an eternity, so props to Justin for finding his speed again!

Jo Shimoda finished second in his third race back. I wrote it three times already, but this has got to be a breath of fresh air for Jo and PC.

Vurbadilla is coming your way not this weekend, but NEXT! Bring your mom and celebrate by racing some J Day Offroad with us!
