Prior to round 6 of the Pro Motocross Championship at RedBud on Saturday, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki announced that Ty Masterpool would be sidelined for the weekend after a practice crash earlier in the week.
While the team did not provide information on Masterpool’s injuries, he took to his personal Instagram over the weekend and announced that he sustained a broken hand in the crash.
“Unfortunately had a little tip over and broke my hand this week during training and will be missing REDBUUDD this weekend,” he wrote on Instagram. “Really bummed to be missing redbudd lotta great memories here but just going to keep my head down and keep working my ass off and come back even stronger. Everything happens for a reason, just gotta Trust in God even when things don’t feel good. God is good.”
At this time, neither the team nor Masterpool has indicated when he may return to racing.
Through six rounds, Masterpool is 11th in 250 points with four top-10 overall finishes in five rounds raced.
