Super Tuesday Breakdown from Freestone

Super Tuesday has arrived with racing kicking off at the 8 o’clock hour. They are only getting a few races in an hour due to a site lap for all of the classes but we have already seen some fireworks popping off on the legendary Freestone MX track here in Wortham Texas. You’ve seen the videos, but let’s see if you guys can read (50cc class excluded).

Mini Sr 2 was the first barn burner with Landen Gordon leading wire to wire setting the fastest lap time in the process. Casey Cochran would chase down Kade Johnson on the last lap to grab second.

1st: Landen Gordon

2nd: Casey Cochran

3rd: Jeremy Fappani

4th: Tiger Wood

5th: Kade Johnson

The 250B cass has been decimated with injuries over the last few weeks. First with Daxton Bennick and Gage Linville followed up by Talon Hawkins at Spring a Ding and now add Ryder DiFrancesco to the list after hitting a downed bike in practice bruising his lungs. The racing will go on as Nick Romano and Marcello Leodorico take moto wins. Romano looks untouchable at the moment setting lap times 2+ seconds faster than anyone else in the class.

Division 1:

1st: Nick Romano

2nd: Preston Boespflug

3rd: Caden Braswell

4th: Evan Ferry

5th: Ben Garib

Division 2:

1st: Marcello Leodorico

2nd: JR Reyes

3rd: Ayden Shive

4th: Wyatt Kerr

5th: Justin Allen

250 A classes have been the Levi Kitchen and Chance Hymas show. Kitchen worked through the pack and hunted down Jett Reynolds in 250A in a very impressive ride. Chance Hymas grabbed the early lead and checked out in his moto. Looking at the lap charts, Levi Kitchen set the fastest lap of the class with a 2:00.534 compared to Chance Hymas’ 2:02.329.

Division 1:

1st: Levi Kitchen

2nd: Jett Reynolds

3rd: Chandler Baker

4th: Cullin Park

5th: Austin Black

Division 2:

1st: Chance Hymas

2nd: Preston Kilroy

3rd: Josh Varize

4th: Jack Chambers

5th: Max Miller

450 A was Levi Kitchen leading wire to wire in his division with Chance Hymas coming through the pack after a mid pack start grab the lead and take the win with one of the more impressive rides I’ve seen in a while. With Hymas checked out Austin Black settling in the second the battle then turn to third place with TJ Rios and Jack Chambers going at it with Luca Marsalisi stalking them waiting for one of them to make a mistake. Much like the 250A main, I can’t wait to see the Levi Kitchen, Jett Reynolds and Chance Hymas battle. Hopefully we can see some spoilers mix it up like Jack Chambers, Cullin Park and Preston Kilroy.

Division 1

1st: Levi Kitchen

2nd: Jett Reynolds

3rd: Preston Kilroy

4th: Max Miller

5th: Slade Smith

Division 2

1st: Chance Hymas

2nd: Austin Black

3rd: TJ Rios

4th: Jack Chambers

5th: Luca Marsalisi

As we check into the 2nd half of the days’ racing we seen Supermini 2 absolutely send it. Haiden Deegan would grab the holeshot and check out before the class even knew what happened setting laps 3 seconds faster than anyone else on track. Casey Cochran would settle into 2nd and Dilon Blecha rounding out the top 3. The sub-plot to the moto was Krystian Janik going down very hard while charging through the pack and will more than likely be out the rest of the week with an arm injury.

1st: Haiden Deegan

2nd: Casey Cochran

3rd: Dilon Blecha

4th: Jude Smerlick

5th: Nate Freehill

450 B did not disappoint with the kids absolutely sending it all moto. Caden Braswell grabbed the holeshot and checked out leaving Nick Romano and Evan Ferry to battle over 2nd and that they did. Swapping positions several times throughout the race until Nick Romano went down, or so we thought. Nick Romano had slid back to 4th but put on an hell of a charge to pass Austin Kapoukranidis and Evan Ferry back to secure 2nd place.

1st: Caden Braswell

2nd: Nick Romano

3rd: Evan Ferry

4th: Ben Garib

5th: Austin Kapoukranidis

51 4-8 Limited is going to be a class to watch heading into the 2nd half of the week with some heavy hitters all trying to make their presence known on the class. Eiden Steinbrecher would take the Division 1 win over Kade Nightingale. Division 2 would see an awesome battle at the front between Jaydin Smart and Saywer Geick until Geick looped out on the landing of a step up taking himself out of contention for the win. Hopefully he is ok to race the LCQ.

Division 1:

1st: Eiden Steinbrecher

2nd: Kade Nightingale

3rd: Anderson Waldele

4th: Austin Keller

5th: Aiden McKidde

Division 2:

1st: Jayden Smart

2nd: Braxton Baldock

3rd: Bryant Rollins

4th: Carter Gray

5th: Deegan Sugamele

Wednesday appears to have some potential weather rolling in over night that could play a factor along with some high winds throughout the day which could make things a little more interesting. Stay tuned for more results and shenanigan’s from Wednesdays racing along with the 69th annual Vurbmoto race.

We met Jeff sleeping in a tent down the street from Loretta Lynn's... with his computer. At that point, we knew he would fit in with us. Then, he then drank all the white claw flavors none of us liked, and that's when we knew it was meant to be. Jeff officially became part of the crew.
We're terrible at asking questions, so we're not exactly sure what Jeff does for a living, but he loves petting his cats and dog, growing his beard, and living in a cornfield in Michigan. Jeff also likes to wear cycling glasses while driving his car and using his cameras. We like Jeff.
