Let’s be real for a minute, the Stilez Robertson/Star Racing Yamaha deal has not gone to plan and it has everything to do with injuries.
Robertson has only been able to compete in eight races with the team and all of those occurred last year as the Bakersfield, CA native has been forced to sit out all of 2024 with a broken wrist.
We’ve known the first surgery on his wrist didn’t go correctly, so he had another to repair it, but on Instagram Robertson said that he’s had five surgeries total!
The setback and amount of recovery on this wrist injury has taken 234 of riding away from Robertson, as we’re sure he’s kept a tally at home on the walls of his house.
However he’s back on the bike! Although he was only able to ride the turn track a bit, it still counts! We won’t expect to see Robertson back to racing this season and Michael Lindsay from Vital MX has reported that Robertson is looking for a ride in 2025.
Robertson’s last race was at Ironman last season and he went 12-11 for tenth overall.
We’ll keep our eyes open to any news regarding Robertson’s comeback and his future plans, but for now the good news is that he’s back on the bike.
