Shoot Your Shot: Travis Pastrana Qualifies for Daytona 500 This Weekend

Welp….he’s done it! Travis Pastrana, who’s flipped everything from dirtbikes to unintentionally flipping rally cars, has flipped the motorsports world on its head once again.

On Wenesday night he threw down some HEATERS in qualifying for NASCAR’s Daytona 500 this upcoming weekend. That’s right, TP is participating in The Great American Race.

Being a part of this legendary event with a legendary driver got me thinking… what are some of the most legendary moments in Supercross from Daytona?

I’d like to think JS7 in 2011, K-Dub passing Reed in 2008, Tomac’s one-wheel assault on the whoops in 2015, and I’ll even throw in Brayton snagging his first win in 2018. For Weege!

Travis himself got his first SX win for Roger De Coster and Team Suzuki back in 2000.

Twenty-three years later he’ll be competing for team 23Xi in the Daytona 500 as a long shot. What an insane story that would be to place a Daytona 500 trophy next to a Daytona SX trophy.
