As expected, Ryder DiFrancesco confirmed on his social media Monday that he will contest the 250SX West Division in 2026 which begins this Saturday at the Monster Energy AMA Supercross opener in Anaheim, CA.
After racing with Rockstar Energy GasGas last season, DiFrancesco will join the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team, another PIERER Mobility AG operation, as part of a broader restructuring that has seen the Austrian manufacturer scale back GasGas’ presence at the professional level in U.S. Supercross and Motocross.
Last season, in his second year with GasGas, Ryder D got off to a hot start in the West Division, going 4-5 at the opening two rounds. Ahead of round 3 of the championship Ryder sustained a fractured radial, a broken left rib, and suffered internal abdominal damage while testing and missed the remainder of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season.
He returned for the Pro Motocross season and finished 10th in points. At the final round of the SuperMotocross Playoffs, Ryder was landed on by Haiden Deegan and sustained a concussion.
Casey Cochran and Daxton Bennick are expected to race the 250SX East Division for the team which kicks off Feb 21 in Arlington, TX.
He joins a loaded 250SX West Division that includes Deegan, Levi Kitchen, Chance Hymas and more.
