I think at this point, we all can agree that Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s RJ Hampshire is one of the toughest guys in the sport.
Two pretty vicious crashes have told his story through the first two playoff rounds.
The track at Texas Motor Speedway was slippery and the dry conditions were a leading factor in several riders going down hard…Hampshire included.
Hampshire went down pretty hard and we were honestly expecting the worst update on him, but surprisingly, Hampshire said that he’s healthy! The best case scenario.
“Lucky to be healthy,” Hampshire wrote.
You’re telling me.
With ninth and 18th place finishes in the first two rounds of the playoffs, Hampshire sits 14th overall in the standings.
Here’s hoping he has all of his crashes out of the way now and can get through this weekend’s finale in Las Vegas ground free.
